About Bank:

On 27th September 1983 Mizoram Rural Bank started. It comes under the Regional Rural Bank Act 1976 and the important thing is, it is spread in all the district and state by RRB. It should be noted that it covers more than 8 districts and 25 RD blocks including 1 urban and 11 semi-urban centers. RRB is giving its facilities to the 10.91 lakhs state population covering the area more than 21081 sq.km. The Mizoram is also covered with greenery and the main occupation of the population is agriculture i.e. about 66% of the state is covered by the forest. Mizoram has one of the highest literacy rates i.e.91.58 % and it proudly said to be the second highest in the country. The entire state is beautifully surrounded by river valley and is very beneficial for farming and agriculture. At this time where there is lots of pollution and waste, the Mizoram state is the most greenest state in India. Because of the good environment in water and forest, it is rich in Rich in flora and fauna which is also the part of the great Himalayan ranges and is a stunning scenic beauty. The Mizoram Rural Bank in the State is second largest. It can also be said that it is next to State Bank Of India. As per figure and facts, 26.30% is the market share in deposits and 28.38% in advances.

Development

All the 77 Branches of the Bank are working on CBS (Core Banking Solution). All the branches are RTGS/NEFT and internet banking enabled.
